British Expats in Life Sciences

April 23, 2003 - Networking event hosted by Pharmacair Inc.

The BELS community is invited to a networking event to be hosted by Pharmacair Inc., a specialist logistics provider to the Biopharmaceutical Industry with offices here in Boston and a home base in the UK. The occasion falls on the eve of the Massachusetts Biotech Council annual meeting. We look forward to seeing you at this excellent opportunity to hear some fascinating speakers who are leaders in their fields of research and to network with people from the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry, and, of course, your BELS peers.

Keynote Presentations

Regulatory Considerations in the Development of Novel Biologics

David Shoemaker, Ph.D., R.A.C., Vice President, Regulatory Affairs at Cato Research

Making a Pig of Yourself - How close we are to the transplantation of pig organs into humans

David K.C. Cooper, M.D., Ph.D., FRCS, Immunologist, Transplantation Biology Research Center, Massachusetts General Hospital

If you attended the BELS meeting last year at the Forsyth Institute, you will remember well the talk by David Cooper, one of the first people to join the BELS organization. For those of you who were unable to join us, I can assure you it is both stimulating and highly amusing.
